Help with setting up Macros:
evansims.com/22/final-fantasy-xi-chat-macro-commands/
Examples:
/p I'm gonna Wasp Sting the hell outta you, <t>!
/ws "Wasp Sting" <t>
Explanation:
/p = party chat
<t> = name of whatever you're targeting at the time, so if you were targeting a "Goblin Butcher" it would read:
I'm gonna Wasp Sting the hell outta you, Goblin Butcher!
/ws = weaponskill (like limit breaks)
The ability must be spelled correctly and is case sensitive, also if there is a space there has to be a space. Wasp Sting, reads Wasp Sting in the ability menu, so it has to read the same in a macro.
<t> = Is the target of the ability.
So it would say
I'm gonna Wasp Sting the hell outta you, Goblin Butcher!
Then do Wasp Sting (If you have enough tp, you need 100 to do a weaponskill.)
For Mages it would be like this:
/ma "Stone" <t>
/p You're so stoned <t>!
/ma = magic ability
For job abiilities, like the 2 hr (overpowered limit break),
for a warrior it is Mighty Strikes, so it would be
/ja "Mighty Strikes" <me>
/ja = job ability
<me> = target self
For Ranged strikes (usually used for pulling):
/ra <t>
/p Pulling >>>>> <t>!
You don't have to add a /p line, or /say line, it does bring a little more life into your actions I think, but if you're pulling, I'm sure everyone else would appreciate knowing about it!
Another thing you can do (if you're playing with people that have a different language version of the game, so that you can understand each other, start pressing something you want to say, for each word, before you finish the word - press tab. All abilities in the game can be translated as well as some common phrases.
